These two words are often confused because they have similar meanings (of movement) but the direction of movement is opposite!

Come = movement towards the speaker

For example, "Come to my house for dinner tonight."(I am at my house and I want you to join me at my house.)

Go = movement away from the speaker

For example, "Let’s go to McDonalds for dinner tonight!" (I am somewhere and you are somewhere and I want us both to move to another place, McDonalds.)
